The Cape Flats Nature book “Growing together – thinking and practice of urban nature conservators” is a culmination of eight years experience in the partnership with input from other agencies and individuals. It is a book based on stories and experiences in Cape Town but it is relevant for urban nature conservators anywhere in the world. Conservation management in the context of urban poverty is a complex and rich field and the book explores this, linking current development theory with local stories and case studies.
